Maintenance pt II

After the thing with the battery this morning, we headed over to the gas station to fill up. This summer, we have been using the old 4/40 air conditioning, so Patsy lowered her window, but mine didn’t move. This was not good.

While I was filling the tank, I looked in the owner’s manual and found there were fuses in this thing. I wasn’t sure but what they might have fazed those out.

On our way back home, we stopped at an auto parts store. I figured if the fuse was blown, we’d be in a place to get a new one. Well, I couldn’t pull the darned thing out, it being a small square piece of plastic stacked in among other small pieces of plastic. One of the workers at the store came out to help. His hands were smaller and he was able to pull the fuse. It wasn’t burnt out, but he did say it looked like the points were dirty. After I wiped them and put it back, everything worked. Just think how much money I saved!

Well, I still can’t say if I am motivated by a classical view of the world or just that I’m a cheapskate.
