It’s raining this morning, the first day of October. Since we don’t get all that much rain here in Las Vegas, it’s seductive. I would love to sit out under our patio with a cup of coffee and watch the rain. However, there is too much to do to just loll around… okay, I did sit out there for a while, but only until I finished my coffee.
I may have a couple of book signings in December, things are in the discussion stage right now. I would be talking about writing in general, and The Amargosa Blues in particular. I’m looking forward to this, because I haven’t done much except re-write A Fatal Misunderstanding. Talk about an appropriate title, I accidentally kept two copies of the manuscript, without realizing it. I did some re-writing on both versions, thinking I was only working with one, so now I have to do a page-by-page comparison to find out what I changed in each. There is no chance now that Misunderstanding will be in print by December, but I can at least mention it at the sigings.
My big push is going to be getting some sort of presence outside the Las Vegas valley, preferably in California. I’ve been thinking about how many SCA authors there are, and wondering if maybe we could all work together as sort of an extended group. This is something to look into.
Not much else is on my mind. The clothes dryer will be going off here shortly, so I suppose I will close. Have a great October, everybody.
